What a beautiful result! Together with our customers, we have already organized 2019 events in 382 climate neutral meetings. In the past three months, we even saw a threefold increase in the number of climate-neutral packages sold compared to the previous period. The amount of CO2 compensated as a result also tripled: we went from 31 tons to 100 tons of CO2 compensation. We are therefore very happy that we can offer our climate-neutral meetings to our customers. Together we make our dreams come true, because we think it is important, just like you, to contribute to a better and cleaner world!

How the compensation works

Every meeting causes CO2 emissions. In collaboration with Groenbalans, we have calculated the CO2 emissions per arrangement. To compensate for these emissions, you can voluntarily invest in the Gold Standard CO2 compensation project for a small contribution Cleaner Cook Stoves in Rwanda. That may seem complicated, but we've made it very simple by offering this option during the application. This way it hardly takes any effort and you can be sure that your meeting is 100% climate neutral, and that you are also supporting a wonderful project.

Cleaner Cook Stoves – the project

Almost every household in Rwanda uses firewood for cooking and no less than 86% of the total energy consumption comes from firewood. The Cleaner Cook Stoves project therefore distributes efficient cooking pots, which use less firewood. This leads to less smoke, less air pollution and less CO2 emissions.

Contribute to a more sustainable world

Fortunately, we are not alone in our sustainability ambitions. Our location partners are also working on the theme. “As Onemeeting.com, we want to guarantee our customers that a meeting can always be completely climate neutral,” says Luc van Bussel, CEO of Onemeeting.com. “In addition to reduction and transformation, sustainability is also a matter of residual compensation. With our climate-neutral meetings, we contribute to a more sustainable world.”
